Book Review: Stray Ally by Troy Lambert
I loved this book! I like action, but don’t usually go for stories that have such startling violence right at the start. What a memorable beginning, though. It doesn’t slow down, and I’m glad I wasn’t scared off!
Stray Ally is well-written and kept me captivated. Using few words, the author makes you understand the characters enough to like or hate them. Todd Clarke is a terrific antihero and of course, Sparky is amazing. Marsha is caring and feminine but is also courageous and resilient. Poignant moments as well as a little romance evoked my sympathy for many of the characters, human and canine, without slowing the plot development.
If you enjoy shocking paramilitary action, intriguing political plots, paranormal elements, plus amazing dogs, you’ll like Stray Ally as much as I do. I’m absolutely going to read the full series.
Thank you to Troy Lambert, Unbound Media, and Story Origin for the free advance reader’s copy of Stray Ally. While grateful, I’m under no obligation to put a positive slant on my review. But I am positive that it’s a terrific read!
